Just for general reference, youtube is a good resource for "elmo/big bird" videos
of course I use the excuse of an obessed 2 year old though. :D
My goodness, there is a clip of Big Bird and Snuffy discussing/dancing to disco - gives the Rubber Ducky song a different sound.

I was persuaded to watch it, and the only person I recognized was Justin Timberlake. I take that as I sign that I should watch even less TV.
they canceled Pushing Daisies and removed the only current big network show worth watching. At least there is still Secret Life of an American Teenager still playing.

Do the needful
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Do the needful" is a phrase which means "do that which is necessary", and carries the respectful implication that the other party is trusted to understand what needs doing without being given detailed instruction. It is commonly used in Pakistan and India and is widely known as an Indian English term, being used frequently by Hurree Jamset Ram Singh in the Billy Bunter stories of Charles Hamilton, although the origins of the phrase lie in British English, especially in correspondence of the British East India Company in the 1600s, according to the Universal Dictionary of the English Language of 1932.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines "the needful" as, "that which is necessary or requisite." One of the earliest quotations provided as an example is from 1710 from Verney Letters of the Eighteenth Century, published in 1930: "Waiting on proper persons and doing the needful in all places."

Half-gallon milk goes on sale for $1.25 today! It’s a pretty lame thing to get excited about, I know, but this hasn’t been a good week.
