school was weird today, these weird guys sat by me at lunch just cuz they recognized me cuz they live by my best friend lol theres some pretty strange kids at my school..

lol. Was my first day of classes today at college. Will be fun I think. Only bad courses are Math which is a stresser, then report writing is basically English class, so that will be boring, and that's about it, the rest should be fun. C++, php, Cisco, Database, OSes. Only thing though my schedule is packed, not lke last year where we finished by lunch almost every day. This year it will cost much more in food.

I HATED essays. Man I'm so glad I'll Never, ever have to write an essay based on some novel again. I doubt I'll ever have to write one, but I should not count on it as I may have to write an essay in college, but I can guarantee it would be a technical subject and not something like "Do you think Kat was in love with Joe, and why? Please write write a 14 page essay on your feelings about this issue"

My grade 12 teacher was brutal with essay subjects.

lol I hated it too. Unless it was an interesting subject but that's like 1% of the time. We had to write a short story and it only had to be 3 pages, but mine ended up being 10. making up a story is MUCH easier then trying to find filler text and BS to make an essay.

One trick though is to make the margins about 0.5 inches bigger, and put your line spacing 0.25 bigger then asked. Font size is noticable, but what you can do is use big words at appropriate places to force the rest on the next line. And NEVER use short forms like can't. Instead use can not. notice how much more room that takes.

Oh, and they want at least 3 quotes from the book? Give them 6, and quote the entire paragraph even if you only need one sentance. The excuse can be that quoting just that sentance is confusing as you cannot see the context in which that sentance is in, so you have to quote the whole paragraph. And use a different format for quoting, like italic bold, which makes text take up more room.

Man, I know so many tricks to make a "3 page" essay. LOL Depending on the teacher you can also get away with repeating yourself but don't do it too often.
