That might be interesting if done correctly. How about a post whore cold war - The Communist menace vs the capitalist pig-dogs? We could tie in the whole avatar theme thing to go along with your chosen side.

I was going to be a fridge but to try and balance the teams, I'll be a microwave. Besides I have a really cool Microwave anyway, it's a Panasonic. I now need to go take a picture of it as an avatar.

I have no clue. Maybe we need to assimilate people to be on a certain side. But that will be rather hard since people will just join the side that has the most people, if they want to win.
