i'm running win xp-pro and did a disk cleanup the other day and now my bookmarks are gone. i can open my browser and create bookmarks/favorites but as soon as i close the browser they are gone. it has only done this since the disk cleanup and i've never had this happen before. the folder thats supposed to be in docs and settings that contain bookmarks is not there.
any help appreciated.......

never go where your mind hasn't already been
where are my bookmarks?
What browser are you using?
If it's Internet Explorer, search for IE.inf --right click and click on install. This will reinstall Internet Explorer.
Then reboot.

And if you're using a decent browser.... You can try and check in "C:Documents and SettingsUSER NAMEApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfilesRANDOMNAME.defaultookmarkbackups". USER NAME being your PC account and RANDOMNAME being whatever profile on FF you're using.
