how do you get them turned off?
i like them some places but not all the places.
and when i click on a link in the favorites list to visit that site
the stupid tip shows up and then wont go away with out closing thr
browser?
i have to go through the steps a second time and hope the tip does not show up
again.

Open the windows registry and go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced
Here create ( Rightclick NEW ) or edit a DWORD-Value EnableBalloonTips.
Set to 0 to disable. Set value to 1 to Enable

Here's another place to look
HKEY_USERS.DEFAULTSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced
enableballoontips=0
HKEY_USERSS-1-5-18SoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced
HKEY_USERSS-1-5-21-1659004503-1677128483-1343024091-1003SoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced
So, the best bet is to search the registry for enableballoontips
Regedit----edit--find
I was surprised there were all these different places, on mine at least.
