what makes the computer take 1 to 2 minutes to open the my computer area?

it is also extreamly slow in everything else.

"computer area"? Can you be more specific? Like My Computer, Desktop, Control Panel, etc.

i said the my computer area.

you know the one where you see the hard drives.

but it is really slow on all things. even after its been
cleaned washed and hung out to dry it is slow.

Go into 'services' under 'Administrative tools'

and find Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)

Set it to manual or disable it.

There is a known conflict with HP products if this service is set to Automatic.

Also, here is a site that guides you to turning off other services.

I hardly have any services running.

Reboot after these changes.

okay now if i can get her to understand over the phone when i get my one word in every 400 spoken words by her? did i say only 400 words? that might be understating the speed at which i can't get a word in edge wise? ha ha ha h ah

no need to be sorry for mis reading something sometimess the stuff does not get typed right or there is a mispelled word.

who richardj.? my sister thats who and if i do get to tell her to shut up i have to do it while she's talking and then she only pauses and says what then starts talking before i can tell her anything again? talk about a motor mouth.
