hotmail password

Post by alienz »

I came home the other day and found that someone has hacked my broadband (always on) and network. Through MSN (i suppose) they have hacked into my hotmail accounts and changed the passwords on my 2 hotmail accounts.

Apart from losing literally thousands of important letters as I do not habitually back them up, I will lose touch with many friends as well. As I only have thier information in hotmail.

I have tried writing to abuse@hotmail.com with a letter explaining the situation. The letters get returned as undelivered. Can anyone suggest who or how I can contact anyone at hotmail to re-new or re-set my passwords??

Hmm never been through this myself but this probably happens to lot of people. Not sure if they actually can do something about it unfortunately. They'd probably just say something along the lines of you should not give your password, and such.

How could someone hack your account & broadband?

Are you using a wireless network?

Anyway, after you log into your account, about 1/4 of the way down from the top on the right hand side, there's an 'options' button.

You can change the password from there.

If you don't know the current password there's a "forgot your password" link right under the password box on the login page.
