converting multiple ISO's...

Post by davidcarlson »

Alright, here's the deal. I just downloaded 13 iso's totalling 6.93Gig. Its for the Novell Open Enterprise Server. Anyway, is there a way of combining all 13, or any number really, into 1 dvd (dual layer I reckon) iso? Thanks for the help.

Ok, here's a little update. I downloaded Ultra ISO media edition version 7.65 I believe. What I have done thus far is this:

1)opened the first ISO
2)"added files" of remaining ISO's

It's compiling/saving right now, then I'll try burning it to dvd. I'll let ya know how it goes.

Depends on the way the setup file is, really. If it's just a bunch of files, chances are you can, I know it works for Fedora Core 4 since I copied the contents of the 4 ISOs to my server using winsiso and was able to do a HTTP install. But some programs may have it archived in a special way on the CD itself so when the setup installs it will look for that file on THAT CD, expecting you to switch CDs. What I would do is copy the contents of the ISOs into a single folder and see if it installs that way, if yes, then you can put it on a DVD. But this depends on how the installation process works.

The 'Did you google it first ' is, in fact, a link to a google search I did re: slipstreaming his Novell.

Thats why it's underlined--it's a link.

You know-like-click here & then you go somewhere else? :stir the pot:
