The customization of Windows XP

Post by Red Squirrel »

Yeah lot of stuff you can do to customize windows. When I had more spare time on my hands, I used to edit shell32.dll and customize stuff like dialog boxes. That was back in win98 days. I had also modified kernel32.dll so that the ctrl+alt+del box would be bigger, requiring less scroling. Oh, and the illegal operation dialog had "Thank you for choosing Microsoft" on the bottom. :D Really, I need to get more into that, like change the windows loading screen and such.

This is a department to be careful with though. Possibility of messing up a few things or two. :P
