Kind of freaky when you think about it though, that IE can do stuff like that. Glad I don't use it!

If it can control the CD rom drive, I'm sure it's not limited to only that. Think of a nasa computer that is hooked up to a device that can control a launch sequence. Sounds crazy, but when you think about it, it would be simple for IE to control that if the coder knows about the device. I would not be suprised if you can execute code to shut down the system. I would know how to do it where it prompts for a download and if you hit yes it shuts down, but I'm sure it's possible to do it without the prompt.
