Spam Detection System

For the point system the way it works, each specific rule gives points, some are negative, some are positive. Then at the end if there's more then 50 it's considered spam.

So 1020 is pretty good!

Ya, they can't do much, but it's still kind of weird that they can have access to it. I tested the shout bbox. When spamming in it, the screen refreshes and the shout box becomes empty, as in NO VIEWABLE POSTS. Then, when I try to access anything else, I get the same message I receive when spamming in the forums.

Oh and I'm just deleting them as we go so spammers don't try to analyse what works and what does not, though it would not really help them... much.

I only know the points if you get pwned by it though, otherwise it does not log it anywhere unless I go in debug mode. But in that mode it ingores all posts. But it's good on my server as I can feed a bunch of spam in it to "train" the system... well I just add rules as I go, type of thing.

I need to make a test script to just feed stuff and get the points, so I can get an idea how many points these are getting. should not take long I'll do that now meanwhile keep posting variations of these.

Yeah, shorter messages are harder to pick up as spam too, so the system is not too bad to consider it did pick up a few of the messages. Needs more rule tune up though.

The keyword "WIN, BUY, FREE" are really good indicators of possible spam. 75% of my posts used something like that (I believe)

Yeah but what's hard with small words like that is that they can possibly be used in a different context. Such as

"hi I'm knew! Once I get more free time I'll try to post more"

But if you get bored and want to write a bunch of possible spam, or even spam you've seen and send it to me I can feed it through my test script to make sure it goes as spam.
