My mission: I want my samurai/parrier to become the closest thing to an avatar.

Why am I posting this: For your humor. Honestly, I'm going to do some stupid shit.

Day One: I decided to work on Honor first. After learning that vorpals give crap for honor (thanks Bruno!), I decided to go to the nearby Blood Dungeon. Took about 30 minutes of farming to get seeker. Also, I got about 40k in this time, an elemental slayer bow, and an marty. So, I thought to myself, what's so hard about gaining favour? Well, after another 45 minutes (finally hit Follower of Honor), I finally found WHY it's so hard to gain. After 5 paragon daemons, 2 paragon balrons (I can tank those if I pay attention), and about an hour worth of random killing (daemons, blood elems, scubs, the works), I got ONE GUMP. Jesus christ. Maybe Ryan was right when he said Honor was glitched. I refuse to honor the DF too, I did get about 5 gumps at Doom earlier today though. Apperently, random glitch that makes the DF take away all your honor points. Not risking it, NOPE. These things are uber.

By the way, "Embracing Honor" sucks. It's Honor's virtue skill. For a short (SHORT BEING EMPHASIZED) amount of time (time depends on your devotion to Honor), nothing.. I MEAN FREAKING NOTHING TOUCHES YOU. They don't GIVE A CRAP you're there man. You just WALK BY. I can just imagine Cartman from southpark going "Screw you guys, I'm going home" with this virtue.

That aside, I killed ASayre randomly in Bucs today too 8D 3 gumps from Seeker of Virtue. I'm ready for Valor soon. Axe of the Heaven's Whirlwind FTW.

If you give someone a program, you will frustrate them for a day; if you teach them how to program, you will frustrate them for a lifetime.

Yeah honor is a pita. I also realized you CAN gain it even without bushido, so I've been passively (as in, when I think about it) trying to gain it. Oddly, doom bosses don't gain much, while daemons gain quite a lot. But I did read in runuo bug list that it may be too hard to gain compared to OSI. I want Red Squirrel to be an avatar too so I can get some super ubber wep whenever I decide to implement avatar awards. Still need to code in spirituality and honesty so this won't be any time soon. :P But the colorful virtue gump is worth the effort... sorta.

I also just realized that my char can tank a fleshie without supervision. DF and creeper are way harder considering they blood oath. :D Like half an hour+ to solo df lol.

Best thing to honor is succubi. They spawn quickly and give the best gains. Honor a good 10 of them or a couple of paragons and you'll jump up some points. BTW, did anyone test actually invoking the honor virtue on yourself? It's supposed to allow you to walk freely amongst enemies for a short amount of time but when I tested it on demise, it didn't work.

If it does not work on demise it probably does not work here. Come to think of it,coding this would most likely involve modifying each creature AI (actually think there's a base AI class) so I'll have to give it a test and see. And considering thats really the only use of honor, I'll make it last much longer. (think it also uses up some points per use)

Yeah, I tested it... I ran into Malkilus thinking it would work... bad move.
It does uses points though, and I havent tested in any other creature other than Malkilus.

Ya they're good for gains. I like the paragon succubus cause they hurt more and they like to WTF pwn you. I once had one chase me and flamestrike me 14 times before it decided to cast another spell.

Lmfao. Speaking of gains, I hate skill deeds. They make me pissed.

But, regular succubuses seem to own with aura. Evasion doesn't save v.s. aura. :3

Evasion is direct damage only, in fact, it should technically not work for stuff like chain lightning or wither, but I made it work anyway.

I need to check if red can tank a paragon bally. Probably not, considering DF is a challenge.

Hey, all of us tanks have weaknesses. :3

You forget, samurais are gimped. Pull out a disarm (almost everyone has it now days) and we're screwed.

Yeah most of us would be screwed to paracelsus. He disarms. Though his physical is low so he can go down fast enough.
