I thought it was agreed that existing pets would not be nerfed and would be considered pre-patch tames...

only global change to those was making them do chaos damage instead of physical. You could be getting unlucky and its hitting the highest resist. (chaos = random damage type).

Actually, both of my chaos steeds have had their fire and cold resists reduced. They both used to be at 100 :( .

Hmm unless the caps got changed. The tool I use to global stuff reduces any stat that is higher then that of the "clone" that I use. I had made a chaos steed and maxed it out then ran the tool on it.

Yes, the caps were changed. Hence why my original post about pre-patch versions...

Yeah, that was me. I nerfed every of the legendary steeds in a manner they wouldnt give colosssal advantages to tamers anymore. They are still as good, though, except resist wise.

Please make announcements about this stuff.

If you give someone a program, you will frustrate them for a day; if you teach them how to program, you will frustrate them for a lifetime.

well 100 of multiple resists on a single pet seems kinda overpowered. 1 is fine, like the yoshies its physical, the squirrels its nox etc... but two is a bit too much. Think this is one of few exeptions where the global nerf has to be done for pets. Valorite dragons for example are being nerfed massively, I'm glad theres not many on the server now. I have no idea where they even spawn now.

Ok, can we make them just 100 fire then? That was what made them legendary IMO.

Actually, it's funny you mentioned the valorite dragons. I am one of the people that have one. It's a great tank, but without going into great detail I've found that I don't use mine much because it isn't good enough in a lot of cases. I've found the AW a lot more versatile. I'm interested to see what is planned for change on the Valorite dragon.

Huh, actually, its their rarity that makes them legendary. Also their ungodly damage and lethal poison every hit. The main reason I will NOT make it have 100 on any resist is simple: a legendary necromancer can have one of those steeds. Same way a legendary paladin can have a Holy War Horse, a legendary mage can have a black unicorn...

They dont spawn anywhere, they are going to spawn in a dungeon called Dragon's Den, which can only be reached by the Dark Palace.

I'm actually looking forward to this new dungeon by the way. Sounds like it will be cool.

Same here. The decision is up to Ryan, though. If we consider pre-patchs one, I'm still considering my 3 chaos steeds on my necro characters. I dont find it fair to have a unkillable thing. =P

Heh, I can kill a pre-patch chaos steed in 5 seconds. They all have relatively low energy resist so they are very susceptible to energy bolt and lightning, or any other energy attack. In fact, I would say it's easier for a player to kill a chaos steed than it is to kill a nightmare, since the steed doesn't cast anything and has similar energy resist and HP. So really, when it comes to field PvP (can't use them in a duel arena), a chaos steed and holy warhorse are pretty useless. I could see a black unicorn being somewhat useful, but its phys resist is so low it would be cut down very fast.

And lets face it, changing the steed's fire resist from 90 to 100 will have no effect on its PvP ability anyway.

I'm looking mainly PvM wise. And I can make my chaos steed a killing machine if I make a mage with 120 necromancy. I'd just use the same tactic as when I use my hiryu, except I'd need bolas.
