Instead of the quests, I decided to make runic bowfletching kits and saws obtainable through bods, similar to blacksmithy and tailoring. So I'm currently working on the fletching bod system at the moment.

Also, I want to change up the bod system a bit.

1: combining bods is now easier, you click the button, and it finds the valid items in your pack and combines them.

2: I'm thinking of changing up the large bod system. I will most likely make it so they do not require to combine smalls, instead, they'll require the items directly. Or I may throw in some kind of quest where you get small bods for a large bod that you are holding, or something.


#1 is already done on the test server, I'll get to #2 once I've done the fletcher and carpenter bods.

: bows : lol 20x val plate lbod is almost impossible to fill if you collect bods as slow as i do.. even with the ability to get them every 10min

If you implement the 2º one, it will be too easy. Thats the unique reason it requires small bods. Specially snce you made it MUCH faster to get the recquired small bods now.

You could do that idea with large bods but you would need to greatly reduce the chance to get a large bod. It would be easier to fill the larges in that sense thus you'll need to counter the difficulty.

Yeah I'd play with the odds. Also have to remember the materials. To get the actual large bod for say, 20 valorite armor exeptional is very low on its own. That same bod in iron will give you crap, maybe 3k and a prospector's tool, if you're lucky. Fletching and carpentry wont have large bods though. fleeching bods are basically bows and shafts/feathers, carpentry will probably be weapons/armor (not that many) and I might throw in crates or chairs or something. Maybe the hard stuff like forges/abatoirs too. So most of this system will be based on odds/luck, but less tediousnous like it is now.

I just realized the amount of work involved in making new bods, I never figured it involved this much as I assumed bods were pretty much all handled at the base class, which is not the case. So I will do some possible bod changes, but I will not be adding new bods. I will go the quest route instead. Most likely custom quests as finding info on the OSI ones would take longer. For now I will continue to hand the lower end ones as rewards and randomish stuff, just so that theres some in the game.

when i first read the post, option #1 seemed reasonable, but #1 seemed crazy, it would allow people to get runics jsut needing the larges. But stepping back and looking at it, compare runic stuff to the loot we get on here, and that seems completely perfect. BODs atm are completely pointless, becuause you can build a suit out of AoA's/tots/loot you find off ANY MONSTER on here. Making the two changes would make bods kind of worth doing, although i bet still many people just rather farm artis and loot armor off monsters. I think if possible to implement, the two changes you be perfect for the bod system.

GUYS.... for f sakes... WHAT is the macro/easyuo script you use for bod collecting? I can't find one that will just let me sit there, and get a bod every 10 minutes.

easiest way is to do with razor I think, since easyuo does not really do context menus well, so you'd have to use click with x y coords which is really tedius as the npc moves around all the time.
