UO with light filters off

Post by Red Squirrel »

I've been using light filters for the longest time, I'm sure pretty much everyone has. But take some moment to turn them off, and go explore. Not sure if its always been this way, but there way more things that light up that you would think. Fire fields, fire elementals, wisps, those symbols on luna floor, etc. It's pretty cool.

Then you realize that light coming towards you is a pk, and everything suddently turns black and white.

Agreed. Take some time to turn off the filter in razor, take off the nightsight stuff and enjoy the nice atmosphere that no light provides. Glow from wisps and other sources make it just fantastic (I recommend taking a look at the new dungeon I created without light filters at least once during your travels (When it's launched that is)).

Try being a Minax character with light filters off at Brit Bank.

All you see are oranged highlighted things glowing, and slowly approaching you.

If you give someone a program, you will frustrate them for a day; if you teach them how to program, you will frustrate them for a lifetime.

Okay, so not every place light levels off is ftw. I don't expect somebody to travel down the doom staircase and go "Wow, this lack of light is awesome" while there's 3 devourers drooling at your soul.

And 10 vampirebats, 5 dread squirrels (folloed by 5 revenants), 3 ravagers, and whatever else I threw in there to make doom, doom. :P

Yeah about that... Doom is a bit crazy lol
I canhandle the skeletal dragons and ravagers, but vampires are near impossible for a normal player to kill.

Doom is going to be fixed shortly. I took a walk in there and yea, it's kind of insane. Vampires are also getting tweaked for difficulty.
