A few I have in mind are:
- auto welcome PM for new members, will feature some links to various "official" threads, etc... It's a cheap lazy welcome but at the same time the PM itself will be useful to new members to learn about features and such, instead of having to dig through the "update" thread. Stuff like "dohtml" tag and such will be explained, the fact that we don't bite and that they can jump in right away will be mentioned etc...
- referrer mod. You can refer members to this site, the new member types the username of the person who referrered. For now it won't do much, but once I get the cybervillage doing business again (soon) it will give the user itbucks.
- decrease postcount on delete. simple. This will allow for a more accurate post count since deleting double posts and such will bring the post count to where it should be.
- google tag: a tag that will enable entering a word and doing a direct search on google. I like doing goole searches here so I think I'll use that often.
- ip in online list link to ip tool section for faster whois and such, an admin/mod only thing (I hope...
)- user rating mod, forums will be able to rate users. This will be used solely for itbucks, instead of adding to the rating, it will simply add to the itbucks, minor fidling around will be required.
That's it for now. Once I have these working well, I'll work on making the cybervillage based on sql, so I'll have to learn how to program with sql which I don't think is that hard.
So look forward to some cool new toys.
