This board's skin

I'm very near upgrading to 1.2, but before I start remaking the skin from scratch, I want to know if everyone is happy with this skin, or if you'd like a change. If you want a change let me know if you have any ideas of what type of style you'd like, colors etc... Wether I keep this one or make a new one won't make it any harder work as I technically have to remake it anyway, but if I keep this one I keep the images and make the layout pretty much the same. The images are about 5% of the time it takes to make a skin so it's not the end of the world to remake a new one. I like this style myself but I want other user's opinions.

I'll probably get started sometimes this week once I figure out how I will get the DB transfered. (not even sure if the DB is compatible with 1.2 without the upgrade script

yo, to upgrade you need to edit like 3 files. No need to redo the skin. I personally feel that this skin should stay since it makes iceteks unique.

I like it very much.

The colours aren't flashy, the text is readable, etc.

How is that? I asked IPB support and IB planet and both say 1.2 is too different, the database is different, the variables, the way it impliments the skin, new/removed sections etc...

On the bright side, if I redo it, I might be able to make it better. I'll probably just use the same css though, that's really the part that's long, getting the css in order (what class to use for what etc...). Even, I might actually do lot of copy and paste as well. I'm sure some sections such as topic display can't be all that different. The new skin interface is also easier to work with, so I think I'll do fine redoing it. I was looking at some nice features in 1.2 and man it's great. But I might also ask at the IB forums when 2.0 will be out, since if it's only a few months I might just wait till then. I have a feeling I'll still have to shut down the board for some time durring the upgrade, since I can't really use the upgrade script directly or it will make the skin go bye bye, but I might be able to make it, export it then import it and it should work so actually, the upgrade process should not give us too much downtime. A few hours maximum, 10 minutes if everything goes super smooth.

No fixed date so far, the upgrade probably won't take place till close to October though. Been busy with other stuff lately.

I mean i might have read it wrong, but i do not think I did. the CSS is different in 1.2 and I know a few other things. i do like the admin CP though, it's a lot better with alot more options. I thin spaz posted on how to upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2 with like 5 files.
