I need ideas for Demitel and the Dark Palace. Help plz.

My idea:
Demitel has three forms:

1st- Crysalis
This form wont do anything, at all. Just takes a big ass while to kill. (1.000.000hp, low resists though)

2nd- Hell lord (demon)
Extremelly hard melee, summons daemons / balrons / succubus for his help. Like 50,000 hp here.

3rd- Overlord (main form, hes an elf here)
Cast several custom spells, like Death, Armagedon (large area fire damage), Summon Memora (the black dragon pet of his), Tetraspell (triple elemental damage) and lastly Fear (unresistable paralyze).
Hm.. 200,000hp.

Well, what sort of ideas are you looking for? Ideas to enhance the Dark Palace, ideas for more Demitel forms, or ideas for minions within the Palace?

Or all three? Or more than that? Too many questions....

Oh *NO* Not succubi, for some reason they have super-powerful life drain here. I don't remember them being like that on other shards.

Siphon, custom spell that drains your health and heals Demitel.
Ethernal Teleportation, summons a "door" and teleports 10 tiles in a random direction
Ghost Blades, summons minions that are like the floating armours from Klahadun to act as distractions.


For Hell Lord, make him be able to teleport behind you and then melee you.

my buddy came up with an idea for a boss monster called the "Chaotic Asshole". The only way to kill him was to nail his heart to the center of the earth. It was after a few beers, need I say more? Perhaps I should ask him for some ideas.

lol DOC. And yeah, the loot on Demitel will be amazing, dont worry. Something I could definately use... puzzles. Someone know about good ones?

Ok, I've come up with some ideas. Not sure if you'll like em, but here they are.

Demitel Forms

Mysticus: A beefed up wraith. NecroMage AI. Weak against Cold damage. Very fast. For a unique attack I was thinking some sort of area energy attack. But make it so people with high resists and/or magic resistance can lessen the damage they take. 30-40k HP.

Darktalon: A harpy was what I first though, but I'm sure a hiryu would work just as well. Ninjitsu/Bushido skills. Weak against Fire. Moderately fast. Unique attack : (This could be tough to code). A screech attack that would either disarm people because they have to cover their ears or it would silence people and make them unable to cast spells for a short duration. 25-45k HP


Denizens of the Dark Palace

Blighted Spider: These spiders have been infected with cataclysma from spending too much time in the Dark Palace. A quick spider with a lethal poison attack (Wouldn't hit every time). But has low HP.

Seeker: A modified gazer. Bred by Demitel to guard the pathways of the Dark Palace from intruders.

Ancient Knight: Previous adventurers who failed to escape the Dark Palace and through Demitel's influence were coaxed to become his tools. Demitel has infused them with longer life. These would be warriors in full plate with a broadsword or something. Not too fast, but can hit hard when they land a blow.

Frenzied Archmage: Like the Knights, these were mages who entered the Palace to take on Demitel. Due to their intelligence, Demitel was not able to convince them to stay and fight for him. Because of this, Demitel instead summoned illusions and slowly forced the mages to become mad. Now they eternally wander the halls of the Dark Palace seeking the exit and they can no longer recognize the difference between friend and foe.

Demitel's Advisors: A small group (maybe 3-4) of beasts who act as Demitel's Advisors. When the adventurers get close, Demitel will command the advisors to protect him at all costs and the party of players will be assaulted.

Random named monsters: Perhaps have it so that if a player or group of players satisfies some sort of requirement, a named beast would spawn. I was thinking these could just be any of the denizens I mentioned above but with a unique name and some boosted skills and stats. They would drop more loot and could possibly have a piece of set armor on them. Just like the named monsters in the Peerless areas.


The Palace Itself


Side-quests: Quests may not be the right word. I was thinking set it up so that monsters would randomly drop an item. Or the item could be hidden behind walls or something like that. Let's assume that the item in question is a dark crystal. When a player or group of players has collected enough crystals, they will have the ability to enter a secret bonus room. Now the entrance to this room could be anywhere, and the group may not even find it. But if they do, the room would have a res gate in it and some vendors that would sell bandages, bolts, arrows, etc. They would only be allowed to stay in this room for maybe 2 minutes, so they would have to act quick. There could also be the stipulation that they might not be able to gather enough crystals.
Another idea would be if a person finds some sort of unique items, they could double-click it and they would be transported to a treasure room. I'm guessing the treasure chest would have to be unlocked because I'm doubtful people will bring their pickers to the Dark Palace. But inside the chest would either be an item of great worth, or some sort of adventuring items, or something ridiculous, like a banana or a scorp.





That's it. I read your post earlier and sat down and thought while I ate dinner. That's what I came up with. Use any of it or none of it. But please do let me know what you guys think.

Hmm, puzzles. I'm not gonna be able to come up with something good at the moment cause I've had some brews, but how about this...

A large square room with hued standing armor on two sides. The armor would weigh something like 600-1000 stones (just so long as a player can't get it in his pack and send to bank with bag o' sending). On the side of the room with whatever door the players need to pass through, have a series of hued raised tiles. The key would be to drag and drop the statues and place them on the tile in the right combination. Once done, the door will unlock and they can pass through or a boss monster will spawn and they can pass through when it has been defeated. To make it even more tough, you could have some monsters spawn while they are trying to solve the puzzle or have a plethora of traps spawn all over the floor.

Awesome idea. Just not sure on how complicated that would be to code.
