Here's mine

I cannot provide an image, but I can tell you that I don't have any junk on my desk! I am a neat freak... My wires are hidden too!

It gets worse. You should see downstairs. They are not as visible, but the setup there is so horrible. Plugging something in the PC requires to pull the desk, jump in the created "hole" while being cornered by 3 walls and the desk, and trying to see. My setup here is better since all I need is to go under my desk.

I have 2 surge protectors since everything wouldn't plug into one. I went to DSL, now there's more wires. The modem sets on a stack of books under the desk.

Your computer desk!
you think thats a mess
i have this computer well it is my sisters as all of them here are.? and it is on a desk that is 3 foot deep by 6 foot wide with a 2 foot back self and it has two drop side shelfs hanging inside the back on the left and right of the monitor area. it looks like it was build for a typewriter not a computer? the monitor sits over halfway out from the back and if we did not have it rasied up on a small wooden shelf the keyboard would be in my lap.
but it is instead on the desk where we can put it under the monitor in the area the shelf made for it.
but the desk is a mess cant find the control for the big speakers for this computer the wires are all hiden but the phone cord, and the mouse wires unless you look to the right behind the computer tower which in on the desk. ther is a mess of wires between that and the printer.
then on the left of this monitor there is the vcr that is hooked up to the winme so i can record the old movies when i get that video card to work that way again?. the other monitor for the win me computer is sitting on the vcr and also is hooked up to the win me tower that is in the lower left desk door.
and the keyboard for the winme is sitting under the desk at the left of my feet. and the coard for it is coming out the hole in the door i cut so it would come out.
this keyboard is wedged between the mouse pad and this computers tower to the right so i have to un wedge it to put it out of the way when i pick up the other winme keyboard,
the usb hub for the winme computer is beside the left of this monitor, where the net cam is plugged in to the win me computer which is off now..
the scanner which is hooked up to the usb in the back of the win me computer is sitting on the top back shelf and on the top of this monitor, the shelfs are all filled with the cdroms from the 4 computer system packages she bought. and lamps and other books and papers.,
and the sidewider joystick is sitting on top the back of the back for the desk and on the scanner.? it is hooked up to the win me comptuer. the shelf on the lower right above the desk drawer is filled with the battery back up and more cdroms and extra ink, and the draw is filled with owners manuals and other items.
that is just the desk.? to the rear of the room is the day bed but it is filled with clean clothes and boxes of the old computer parts to the right of the chair is the old knife hutch which is filled with more cdroms and thousands of floppys and paper. to the left of the chair is the way in to the room. and to the side of that path is the the chestof draws where there are still more cdroms and spare parts which are in front of the closet which is also full of stuff. and you cant get the door open anyway.
all around the back and right side of the chair is more boxes and papers and cdroms. its a good thing this chair swivels so i can sit down
time to stop as i think you get the idea and that is just this room with the two computers in the living room has the other computer and the tv enterainment tower of power unit in.( with all the stereo and cable and more vcr's all connected to it also.) so i got wires gallore all over the place.

who said i did?? i have to trace the wires to find what goes where?
but i have to move the desk and everything else to find most the wires?
you ever see that movie called " Indipendnce day " with will smith?
the line i think fits best for me is the one said by the guy that was the lead scient... when the opened the door to the area 51. he even looks a little like me? only my long hair is not white ? not yet but getting there?
and i wear glasses also.
but it was " They Don't Let Us Out Much"
just like me stuck in this place trying to get all the stuff working. only to find out that my sister who said she wanted to network them now haaaas changed her mind and dont want them networked just when i get half of it working??

lol
I have to trace wires too. I have to use a trick I learned in telecommunications, pull on it, and the person at the other end goes to the mainframe to look for the moving wire, when he grabs it, you know it's the right one since you feel him pulling, then you go further on as he moves it and grab the moving one again. Some wires go like 20 feet so you just keep tracing it this way until you find the equipement it's connected to.
Thankfully in my case I can do it alone since there's maybe a 10th of what there is where I worked.
