power supply troubles

Post by rovingcowboy »

:banghead: :banghead:   :pissed off:

Ok now here is what is going on.

i got the new power supply one that is to be ready for pent fours and amd's. on an atx board.

it only has four power plugs for hd's need five.

but the dadblasted thing wont lite up it will flash the led inductators on the front when i push the power on button but as soon as i take my finger off the button it then turns the leds off. and the computer does not start?

what is wrong with this?? it says it has enough and the right things for my mb. so it should work.?

the thing is it came here in a damaged box i thought nothing of it i hooked it up and when it did not work i called the place i got it. and their return policy sucks. :handintest: they wont take it back if there is a loose screw, and the case has a couple of them like they were not put in all the way at the factory so i cant send it back.

which means i have to try and fix it as it cost 50 us dollars and i cant afford to waste that.

but now my computer dont work again.

I can't really say what is wrong since, I can't understand it too much. Are you saying that the connectors have more/less pins than your other PSU?
