Saw a paragon Plague Beast, decidd to take it on.

Spawn cap is at 10 where it should be 5

And for some reason, it gained enough magery to cast dispell on my revs. :/

Dont they have auto-dispel like dragons do? Cuz I think thats the case.

Yep looks like they got autodispel. Though I'm pretty sure this takes dispel difficulty into account, so a paragon would have a better dispel chance.

There's actually NO spawn limit, according to the script. It has a 25% chance of creating spawn on spell or melee attack (melee includes archery in this case). To solve the limit I'll have to make it keep track of the spawns in an array, then remove them from the array upon death. (well this would be auto). Deathblade summoners currently do this. If I was to set the follower limit higher on them, they could spawn multiple blades until it fills the slots.
