that would be 120 posts a year

840 posts would take 7 years

81.3 months to make your post count to 1000

currently only 9 members have enuff posts for access

Hope noone minds if I butt myself right into this conversation...

I own another forum and here is my contribution of the day. Google does pick up this site, and the more ip addresses you list, the more webmasters and admins will show up to collect the ip addresses so that they can ban them on their forums as well.

This thread would make a cool admin co-op for unmasking the spammers before they hit other people. Seems as if they don't learn and use the same ip address to register for multiple forums (bots aside).

213.42.21.77 fresh off the presses. literally. 5 minutes ago he tried to register.npluffer@zone-freestuff.com all these members have to validate their email addresses....so it's a live one !!

Changes too often, no point in making it an actual article. I;m thinking of starting some kind of spam IP repository and implement it in SBBS to auto update in real time. Would be pretty cool, though I'd probably get all the spammers on my ass DoSing the site, etc.

1 site alone doing a repository probably wouldn't cause to much trouble. Now if you got a bunch of forums involved and made one central repository, you might end up like old blue frog did.

Exactly why I killed my old spammers thread.

I would love to goto Russia one day or some other country that shelters the majority of these freaktards and track down a few of them and crack their "freaking" skulls wide open with a baseball bat.....then take their cats and put them in the microwave as a finishing touch.

Nah I rather put THEM in the microwave... well a custom microwave. Nice big lead wall room with sheet metal walls and a bunch of MW transmitters, lock em up in there and turn on the power. Add tesla coil and water sprinklers for extra effects.
