Thermal Grease Use Voids Amd Warranty!

Featured on the home page as well, this is quite an interesting article. I never knew that you could void your warrenty that way! AMD sure hates overclocking, but yet they make it so easy. :P

Thermal Grease Use Voids Amd Warranty!

I saw that on slashdot. Yeah, that does suck, but it really isn't much of an issue unless you get a bad chip, otherwise if it fails most likely either it's past the warrenty anyway or you voided it in the process of killing it. Also this only counts on retail boxed athlons, with oems the retailer gives the warrenty, and it's not that hard to wipe the grease off anyway, is it?
