Now that I have UD running, what happens if I have to unplug? Storms are predicted for us tomorrow. Will the program pick up where it left off?

Yes, it has save points (not sure when exactly) so you don't loose much. Then it just picks up from where the last save point is.
When it's done, it will upload it to the server and download a new one and keep going from there.

Oh good, I didn't want it to lose everything. I'm at 7% now. Is it always a slow process?

It will be slower or faster depending on your processor and the amount of things you have opened....
I am 70% finished with number 2.....

I'm only running a PIII 733 and had a game going and was on IM at the same time, for a while. I'm sure that really slowed it down.
Now I'm feeling guilty about doing several things at once.
Hey, I just went to 10%!

I am sure Red wouldn't want you to sacrifice anything for this UD project...
I do LOTS of multitasking. Right now, I have a million things opened!

You'd be suprised how lot of opened things don't affect it as much, they are still idle. They use memory, but not really CPU time. Don't worry about the usage
As long as you're running it, all the time you are off the PC it's usually running at 99% .

Actually, I don't really use all of it. For example, I always leave my e-mail software running so it will check e-mail and I always leave my media player opened so I can listen to music on the fly.Wren wrote: My brain doesn't comprehend info that fast. I'm slow and methodical.
I just have all those things running so I don't have to wait for it to load when I need it!
And you're not slow!

Yeah, but sometimes those apps use a CPU cycle. Even though it isn't much, it does affect it slightly....Red Squirrel wrote: You'd be suprised how lot of opened things don't affect it as much, they are still idle. They use memory, but not really CPU time. Don't worry about the usage

That's a lot better than what I have. I would like a P4 3.0. Only about 450.00.

The only use I would have for a burner is in case I need to reformat, which I had rather not do! That is a pain! It would be easier with a burner though.
