AMD Or Intel?

Post by Chris Vogel »

I would have to say Intel. I mean, they have the latest technology.....

They also spend a lot of money to develop new technology. The newest and most powerful chips are always released by Intel first.

But, on the other hand, if we are talking about value, I would say AMD. They are cheaper....

If I had the money, I would always go with Intel.

Actually you are right on that, Intel comes up with technologies faster, but AMD is so much cheaper!

Intel for me if I was going to upgrade. Got a PIII, would love a P4 but they are expensive.

while Intel does have some nifty technology behind them, amd definitely gives the most bang for your buck.

If cheapness didn't matter, my high-rise apartment in Tokyo and my summer house in Hong Kong would be filled with Intel processors, SCSI HD, and imported American soft drinks! :P :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

neither. both are gonna support m$'s monopoly with palladium which we all know m$ will use to lock out other developers who don't license palladium and drm from them. until there's a chip company that will just tell m$ to stay out of the chip/hardware designing business in order to hide their own security shortcomings and suck thier a$$, i won't be buying a new computer anytime soon. and longhorn? you can have that dead cow for all i care.

2 plus heatsink for hard drive
1 PCI slot circulator air deal(take sup no slots on MB just on the case)
and one on my cpu that came with it but im goin to upgrade
And i use an AMD 2700 xp to power my big blue b****(most of my fans are blue+i have a dule tube blue light)
and it all cost me including tax and shipping
$2900
Nice!

I want more fans on my computer. There's something about that air flow sound that makes it sound more powerful. :P I walk at the testboard and I hear all the Cisco,Nortel etc equipment fans and it's just a great sound!

What I don't like is high pitched fans, but 120mm fans like the ones I want won't be a problem. I'll probably buy some shortly and add them to the side of my case. I'll order them wholesale once I get setup with a supplyer.

LOL

Microsoft activation. hehe.

- Insert finger 1 in hole 1 of socket
- insert finger 2 in hole 2 of socket
- stay for 5 minutes while you key in your 50 digit activation number along with your social security number.
- when done, insert toe in grounding hole

Your product is now activated.
thank you for choosing microsoft.
