Update [May 15 07] - Reptalons + much more

Post by Red Squirrel »

* Insured and blessed items now stay equipped when you die. So when you rez, they will be on you. This is considered experimental but has been thourghly tested so it should work fine and not have any issues.

*Dying in a custom regions such as mob race or pvp arena will now dismount you

*Fixed a few more items which should not show weight (such as big fish, which has it by default)

*Changed the way containers display their contents.

*Did a core edit to item.cs to accomodate future engraving tools.

*While crafting metal armor, for each 12.5 skill points in arms lore you can get up to 1 extra resist bonus on up to 3 resists for a max of 8. Gives a new reason to try and craft armor with a runic hammer. ;)

*Added reptalons, they are found in labyrinth, require 101.1 taming and take 4 slots.

*Yoshis now take 2 follower slots. Pre patch ones will remain at 1 slot and will be considered rare.

*Added chest of Chest Of Heirlooms in the tokuno minor artifact drop list

Sick update man.

Couple questions. Reptalons are agressive right? So technically need a peacer? And do they use magic, or are they like Hiryu's with skills/stats?

They're actually a similar idea as hiryus, melee (but fire breath) and stats split. They're also aggressive so you'll need a peacer, they anger on tame as well. They're actually hard enough to tame. I think cu sidhe's and hiryus are better but reptalons are more wanted for the coolness factor.

lol on OSI a full trained Hiryu or Reptalon have barely no chance of surviving a fully trained Cu Sidhe. Simply because Cu sidhes deal cold damage and heal.

Umm... should be 50% cold and 50% energy.

Also, they should have very high resistence to cold and energy.

Yeah even on stratics people were saying that they were way underpowered. What I might do is make their fireball do more damage, just so they at least have something special. They do take 4 slots afterall, and require more taming then a hiryu.

Reptalons have a "roar" ability, I've just no idea what It does. Think it paralyzes the target.

I was hesitating on globally making them 2 slots but figured having a few 5x packs around is not that bad. The pre patch ones also have more hit points. So those will be worth a lot in the future.

The problem with those is their very high wrestling, they hardly get hit, and having high skills was supose to be one of their advantages, so its why it's staying, but I just lowered hit points and resists if I recall. (on new ones)

And there may still be some untame prepatch ones around.

Wow reptalons really are crap. Maybe don't halve their stats? Even at full they are crap lol. And that was one of the easiest aggressive tames ever...

I was also just reading on stratics that a reptalon can kill a dragon in 2 hits??

Yeah, that was before OSI nerfed them to nothing. I'm training mine atm, lets see how he does when fully trained.

Yeah I pretty much copied all the info I could get from stratics. But to give them something special think what I'll do is make their fireball way more powerful. Well fireball damage is based on hp, but I can change the base damage, so if I make it do 100 damage at full hp, it will do 50 at half, etc.

Paralyzing roar they can do will paralyze their target.
