I actually found a repond slaying mace sc-o once but It went down with my house. It is NOT impossible.

they were available pre-patch, but not now unfortunately.

Ya, almost have to test that theory as it's most likely impossible without an exception added to loot. However, loot is wonky so not ruling out the possibility.

Eby told me long ago that Red disabled it because it gave an unfair pvp advantage over players who were polymorphed at the baracoon spawn.

Before Red and Death spend too much time looking into repond slayers, I might be making some of this stuff up. But there is no lie about the great deals at my vendors!
