Yes, yes, this should be priority one. You two really need to get onto the task of coding the entire server so that it appeals to the least common denominator.

I'm thinking along the lines of phantom asps or something. Need a bit more clarification so that I can see what monsters are causing issues. The way dungeons are designed you should be able to start easy then work your way down to the harder monsters.
A few exceptions exist however. UOML dungeons are designed to be challenging regardless of location

Phantom Asps really are annoying lol.
Yesterday I killed a supreme dragon and also killed some giant serpents when I was in there, and a Phantom Asp that wandered over. The stupid asp was more annoying than the supreme dragon. No, seriously.
That just didn't seem right.

Ya the phatom asps can be removed. That custom monster hangs out in different spots. It's worse than a ninja and bloody annoying. We'll have to find them a permanent home in a contained area.ggkthx wrote:Phantom Asps really are annoying lol.

Supremes we will need to give more consideration to as they can quickly turn an area into a completely different difficulty which isn't always favorable. For now, you can use the sacrifice virtue on your paperdoll to remove one.

Don't worry about them. Just find a large group of them and cast earthquake, that should take care of 'em.

I would advise not to use a long range mass area spell as that's quite possibly the worse thing you could do (If you want to know why, go right ahead and try it but don't say I didn't warn you!).
A bit of trivia on the poison ivy:
Poison ivy is based on ivy creepers, hence its growing ability. When it was first created, it was given 100% cold resistance and a spike ball attack to shoot at ranged players.
The 100% cold resist and spike ball attack was added as a joke to play against Brunus (an old AOV coder). Whenever there was a large group of monsters, he would always use wither so when we spawned a large group of ivy during a beta test, he did exactly that, with amusing results. We all had a good laugh that day.
Since then, the poison ivy has gone through a few changes, most notably its different resistances and reduction of max spawns.
I do plan to remake ivy creepers in time into something truly unique with a time based growth rate and a more sophisticated growing system (Climbing up walls). They won't be nearly as powerful as they are right now and will have their own isolated area. In addition to being a hostile creature, it will also be part of the scenery.

Whenever I ran across a group of them I would use Enemy of One and fire a bolt into one of them. If only one of them became tagged as orange, then I had the "mother" vine. Otherwise, I'd attack the only grey one left. They only fire poison at you when you hit them (if I recall correctly), so it is an easy battle, just cure when necessary.
I'll only ever kill them when I find a paragon one though, since the loot on them never really appealed to me.
