Peerless bosses and misc ML stuff
I added a premade peerless system on the test server. Anyone feel free to mess around with it. This is the system I added:

I still need to make lot of changes, then research all the information on the ML resources to make sure they're dropping the right stuff. I also need to make it so a group of people can go to the peerless room as right now it's limited to one person.

On OSI are peerless instanced based or do you have to wait for the group to finish? Making an instance system would be hard, but I do have an idea of how it could be done, now that I've managed to recompile the core. The serialization stuff would be a pure pita though (would involve new object flags to save)

It would seem logical that it be instance based but last I heard from reading on forums and other sources, you have to wait for the other group to finish the peerless which suggests it is not instance based. Mind you, it might have been that way before then they switched it to instanced later on. You need to finish the boss with the first group before the second group could go in. Also u had to get some items just to be able to get to boss, almost like the deamon bone thing in doom, but there where about 4 or 5 items u needed to get by killing the monsters in one area first before u could see boss.

Yeah think paraxysmus dungeon mobs can have a chance to drop NN items which are then needed to get the key. All stuff to research as well.

I'm kinda sure the loot is instanced like every other loot in any other mob in OSI. Ill go look though.

Oh thats another thing, instanced corpses. I'll add that in eventually. It's already done on RunUO forums just gota do the edits where needed.

Ok college is pretty much over, so I will have more time for the shard. I started on the peerless a bit last night, and I will probably work more on em over the new few weeks. Only thing, it's really hard to find info on how the keys are obtained and what spawns should be in each dungeon, and what loot the spawns shoudl have. If anyone knows of any info feel free to post a link here. The system has built in quests so I can use those as well even if it's not as per osi. No need to be exact.

The key system is pretty much done, and really that system basically *IS* the peerless system. The rest is simply adding the mobs, and making sure all the mobs are dropping the right items for the quest to get the key, and I also have tomake sure the quests are right. The premade script basically saved me a lot of the tedious tasks of making the monsters and stuff.
Here's an idea of what the props looks like, yes, I even bothered to add that.
This will enable me to use the peerless system for events as well since I can specify a different type of boss, location, etc. I might make the demitel bosses use this system too, exept they won't be peerless per say as the locations are easily accessable.
From this point adding the other keys will take a few minutes.
Also notice my title, thats a core edit. Any mobile with knight of all virtues will get that title appended, and then the regular lord/lady status.

key system is pretty much done. Now I just have to fix up all the bosses, like I finished chief paroxysmus last night, made him eat pets and stuff, others I'll have to research. As far as stats I'll need to get someone who plays OSI, or just make them up. Also I'll have to make sure the mobs in the dungeons drop the right items to get the keys, and that these items are rare enough. Peerless will basically be like doing a harrower, its something you plan and make sure you have enough people for since it won't be that easy to spawn one.
On how to get the keys, it will be a bit different than OSI, but does not have to be 100% the same. I'll document the peerless system as if it was a custom, once it's in.

I'm finalalizing chief paroxysmus right now, making sure all the stuff to get the key drops properly and is not too easy to get, and I even got the cauldron working, which is how you get the key, by putting all the items. On OSI you get an ointment which lets you cross, but for here it will be a key, that way you can use the key from anywhere you want, or store it for later use.
If all goes well, it should be in by tomorow's server wars.
