Housing Question

Post by Dark Blade »

I placed a house after a week saving up. I now can place a much bigger house. I went ahead and was trying to place a 18x18 but it keeps telling me I already own a house. Why cant I place a new house first, move my stuff and then tear down the house? I did read where you can have up to 2 accounts 3 max if you asked. Could I make another account which would be my second account so I can trade then place the other house?

You can only have 1 house per account (2 through a veteran reward).

Im understand that. Maybe I didnt ask the question right. What I am asking why I cant place a new house like you can on a prodo shard then it should make my old house condemed? It still be me owning one house on the account while I just take the condemned house down. Could I just drop the house and then place a new one?

The housing system goes by whatever method runuo initially had it coded for. That being said, the process of housing is more than likely not the same as production shards at this current point in time.

Normally, yes you should be able to build a house and have the old one condemned. This would allow you to transfer your stuff to the new house without tearing it down. If it currently doesn't work this way then it's either a missing implementation or red had disabled it when the veteran house deeds were enabled.

When you try to place a new house, what message do you get?

Okay, it's not as per OSI then. Looks like it was disabled when the veteran housing deed was added in or it was just never included, so instead of condemning the old house, it just won't let you place beyond your house limit. Thanks for letting us know about that, we'll look towards fixing that.

I let red know about it to see what he can do about that. In the meantime, you can try these options:

-Move the stuff from the old house to a friend's house or a house you own on a different account

-Move the stuff from the old house to pack animals or get a friend to help you move. You can also store the items in your bank

Once your house items are stored, then you can demolish the old house and build one in a new location.
