What do the players think is the most important update?

Lets do a poll to find out what the priority should be on updates. Do not worry, there will be another poll tomorrow probably. I just want to keep this update issue in the forefront. The server seems to be forgotten.

It is impossible to push just part of the update. It's all or nothing. The results of this poll will not affect anything.

That's like telling a contractor "I just want the bedroom done now, I don't care about the foundation, or the roof, or any of the structural stuff, I just want the bedroom."

Sorry, but that's just not true. How can you possibly say modifying live to accept the latest client patch is intimately connected to EVERY change on TC1? It's like telling the contractor, "Hey, I just want to install a new front door" and the contractor replies, "Not possible, we will have to renovate every room in the house, replace all the carpets/flooring, install new windows, oh and strip down the walls to completely replace all the wiring, then put up new walls." When the person asks why, the contractor responds, "Because the front door is physically connected to one room and the carpet, so it all must be done together at the same time."

Because the code for the new network protocol changes to work is in the core, and the code for the rest of the updates is also in the core. Everything is integrated. So it's either I upload the new core, or I don't. I can't just upload half of it, it makes no sense. It's a compiled exe file. The core depends on other scripts to even start, so I'd have to also update all those scripts too. None of it is ready for production unless you want your items vanishing and other weird stuff potentially happening.

I am done with this topic. The updates will happen, when they are ready.
