I have win 7 on my new system now and was using 98 pro on old sys. I think that 98 out preforms win 7 while playing uo could this be do to no server upgades or does win 7 just suck it seems real laggy while running razor/uo or do i have a different issue (possibly)? just looking for some feedback from people that have used both operating systems. I do have a good internet connection.

It wouldn't be due to the server not having any updates although the shard has been laggy the last couple of days as numerous players have informed us. As for the difference between win 98 and win 7, there should be minimal problems running the client. I have heard of compatibility issues and problems in the past but those seem to be mostly caused by razor.
I would say it's likely an issue with the server lagging at the moment as numerous players are experiencing that. My second guess would be some kind of razor/client compatibility issue with windows 7 but I really can't say for certain without having experienced the problem first hand.

My wife has windows 7 on her new laptop. Works sweet with out any problems.
I dont know why everyone else is having probs with it but its clear a few people are having problems with razor and windows 7
