Tali and Slayer Weapon?
pretty dure they can. But they do not stack. IE reptile taly and reptile weapon would be pointless

Yes, they do stack. If you use an undead slayer weapon and an undead slayer talisman, they will stack in terms of damage (Currently works like this on AOV. On OSI the exact same slayers do not stack).Dirk wrote:Can they both be used at the same time and work together? (weapon- reptile slyr (tali- fey slyr) (I forget)
Likewise, if you use a repond slaying weapon and equip a vermin slayer talisman, it'll stack against ratmen (This works on both AOV and OSI).
Most people don't notice a difference because they are already hitting their 300% damage cap with damage modifying spells, DI and tactics/anatomy.
The first slayer will give you about 2x damage. Adding another slayer to that will not give you 4x, more along the lines of 3x slayer.

Therefor, it is more accurate to say:Death wrote:Yes, they do stack. each slayer modifies your base damage, but slayers will not bonus the damage that other slayers are providing.

Not quite. The damage reduction is only present if there are two slayers:d. wrote: Therefor, it is more accurate to say:

Weapon Slayer = 2x damage vs creatures of that slayer
Talisman Slayer = 2x damage vs creatures of that slayer
Weapon Slayer + Talisman Slayer = 3x damage if combined. If the slayers work together (IE: Repond and Vermin VS ratmen), then the slayer is only 3x slaying and not 4x slaying.
If the slayers are not similar in the combination (IE: Repond and Flame VS ratmen) then the damage would only be 2x. They would work individually and not together. So if you were fighting a ratman(repond) or say...a fire elemental(flame) then each would get 2x damage.
Hope this makes sense, slayers can be a complex subject because they've changed in almost every UO expansion.

My statement was only in regards to similar talismans, for example, having x2 demon slayer talismans when fighting a dark father.Death wrote:Not quite. The damage reduction is only present if there are two slayers:d. wrote: Therefor, it is more accurate to say:

if you have a reptile slayer talismon and a reptile slayer weopen with spell channiling equipt would you do 100% extra damage to reptiles with a spell like ebolt?

Weapons will only provide slayer bonuses with melee attacks. You would need a reptile slayer spellbook, to do more damage with spells. Talismans work for melee AND spell damage on AOV.newguy wrote:if you have a reptile slayer talismon and a reptile slayer weopen with spell channiling equipt would you do 100% extra damage to reptiles with a spell like ebolt?
Weapon Slayers = Melee Only
Spellbook Slayers = Spells Only
Slayer Instruments = Reduce barding difficulty
Talismans = Melee and Spells Only
