Does slayers/protection/killer on a talismon/weopen work with pets so if your wearing a reptile slayer weopen/talismon your pets do double damage to reptiles as well?

No and for good reason jackals on this shard retain the highest damage of any pet usually surpassing 100 damage each easily. Take into account the fact that theres 5 of them the damage scrolls the screen pretty fast, and well if you where to add in slayer damage to pets which slayers do like 50% or double damage or something times the jackals pack instincts for each one you'd be able to drop demitel spawns in like 5 seconds.

There was a rumor on OSI that it did, in fact, affect pet damage. This is something to confirm later on but I believe it's just a rumor as OSI introduced pet stat increasing items with UOSA.newguy wrote:Does slayers/protection/killer on a talismon/weopen work with pets so if your wearing a reptile slayer weopen/talismon your pets do double damage to reptiles as well?

From a logical point of view it would not make sense.
Now if your pet had a talisman (ex: a hired npc) then it would affect.
In fact at some point I was thinking it would be cool to allow players to "suit up" hire npcs. Of course this would be a risk to lose those items, but the possibility would be cool.

Just allow us to suit up death blade summoners, and risk losing the items we give them when they die. It will help 'clean up brit' by cycling items through NPCs. Also, the deathblade summonrs NEED to be immune to poison. they have HORRIBLE resists, and the only way they stay alive is life leech and hit regen. However, on runuo servers, hit regen does not work if you are poisoned, so death blade summoners die super fast.Red Squirrel wrote:From a logical point of view it would not make sense.

This type of update wouldn't really take all that long ^^.

Interesting theory but when npcs die they leave the items on their corpse so in a logical sense, somebody could go up and loot them off the npc. Unless you're planning on nuking the items they were wearing upon death, kinda like how insured items leave you with a naked corpse.Red Squirrel wrote:From a logical point of view it would not make sense.

Right, it's a RISK you'll lose the items, you won't necessarily lose them. NPC carried items should be uninsurable and would be the same as if a player died with uninsured items. I guess in Tram etc you'd probably get everything back, in Fel you just might lose everything on your NPC. Shrug, seems fun though.Death wrote:Interesting theory but when npcs die they leave the items on their corpse so in a logical sense, somebody could go up and loot them off the npc. On the other hand... maybe if NPC insurance cost WAY more it would work out ok. I wish player insurance cost 3-4 times as much too though, maybe more.
