I don't work in a DC but our server room is loud, so I can relate:

Like today a coworker was telling another coworker that he was looking for another job and not to tell anybody. But he chose to do that in the server room while I was in the office. I don't know if I'm suppose to know or not, but I know now!

At full blower speed, our dual 240V 60amp bladeserver is so loud and pushes so much air so fast that you can put your face behind it and it's worse than this:

I always wanted to go in to the data center when I worked at earthlink but I couldn't get in I was just a lowly techy. I would never get dsl god its so fucked. My favorite calls were from the TWC customers. Can't get online? Ok lets try a power cycle. Didn't work? Ok then lets transfer you on over to TWC.
