Why SEO is important

Ever wonder why AoV is a rather simple looking site? No huge graphics, no complicated nested tables or crapload of javascript.

This is why:

free uo shard - 2nd result

uo shard - 2nd result

ultima shard - 10th result
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=ult ... arch&meta=

There's other combinations too.

I did not really put much effort into SEO (Search Engine Optimization) where the forums are concerned, so once I do that...

I honestly can't believe "uo shard" makes the site show up as 2nd though.

I would expect OSI to be first.

shows up lower from google.com then google.ca

thats because its 2 separate bots. And result is also based on server location, and the google domains that use country codes also search for different things. Where the .com is the parent domain and is used for money, the country code domains are used for what google used to be, for info.

google.com >> free uo shard - 5th down top3 are portals. SO still basically #2

AOV is top 5 on searches for

uo shard, free uo shard, free shard.

It doesnt register on google.com for

ultima shard or ultima online and i wouldnt think it would being that AOV uses the ultima online engine, is custom, and soon the engine will be all that is used.
