Tames and their abilities ..
Wow. Honestly I'm pretty sure every vet you are refering too has a tamer. I have three. I solo things without my guildies/alliance mates, not as much as I used too, but honestly thats because I have no need too.
Really the argument is not about who has what template, its only through argument that a blance is actually reached, but raging on "vets" about the talk of nerfing tamers is actually quite conter productive. Very few of the "vets" here use scripts for PvP. Probably because for the most part scripting IS very rigid and not as quickly adaptable. To accuse all vets of such blanket statements in a fit of rage is quite honestly offensive.
I'll be the first to admit that I frequently argue about caps, balance, gameplay, etc.. and usually I am fighting against nerfs. I would prefer that as little as possible actually gets nerfed. I like higher damage caps, I like more intense conditions. It forces people to adapt. But issueing general statements about a server/game's population will NOT make you any friends.
All that aside, in spite of my prefence for high damage caps in general, balance also needs to be upheld. The argument is more about how to reach said balance.
So instead of blaming all vets for everythign being nerfed, perhaps add something constructive to a debate, not just blanket insults.

You wanna keep things the way they are because you and your mates will keep winning every tourny and hence every price. LAWL This could be de**se all over again.
You guys already try to monopolise prices by not selling and over chargeing.

I know this probably won't get through to you at all, but I have nothing better to do than post on the forums while I'm sitting here on the phone.
If I have something I will sell it, well, not to you anymore probably, but to anyone else.
But I'm selling it for what it's worth to me, not what you think I should be selling it for.
Anything I sell I no longer have for my own use, selling things for cheap is just stupid if it means I have to buy it again from someone else later with no profit or at a loss.
Please get this through your head, you are not entitled to anything anyone else may have just because you're offering what you feel is a fair amount for it. So stop crying when people want more than you're offering, you can always go get it yourself and then its free. If your time is worth more than your gold then pay the asking price. Either way whining about it isn't helping.
If you're having a problem with everyone else maybe the problem is really you.

Sounds like you solved your problem then. Grats.Drucilia wrote: yesterday I collected five on them in a few hours
So what is it you're still complaining about exactly?
Also, it sounds like a few hours of your time is worth less to you than a few hours of my time is to me. That would explain the price discrepancies.

Hijacking trades is rude, plain and simple. There is nothing anyone can do to stop you from doing it, but especially on a shard this size, you reputation about how you trade can, and often will, determine who will deal with you. And with so few player, having a tarnished reputation can be quite a speedbump. So just be aware, your reputation as a player maye actually mean soemthing to the people you play this game with. Thats two incredably rude things I have witnessed from you.

IDK about this trading business, but I wholeheartedly agree with Drucilia about AI ruining it for tamers. Many will disagree with me but it's so apparent, think about it.. tamers sacrifice high resist suits for luck, they only rely on magery or chiv for healing, no life leech weaponry or anything like that, so basically they are way underpowered with any mob. My new archer can solo things with a crappy suit that my tamer cannot, so that in itself proves my point.
It's mainly the vets who want to keep the AI, because they can suit up their tamer with decent resists and a full luck suit.. What about newbies who have joined this shard and want to start a pvm tamer and can barely scrape together a decent luck suit with 0 resist. I guess they just get overlooked.
On the other hand, I like how you can't just afk solo things in gaunt by using a pet, I like how the mob targets you.. just not with the same intensity, any mob in the gauntlet will target me, do their combo and bam I'm dead. I have no chance outhealing a 150hp dmg combo on my tamer, that's made me not want to play a tamer which is a shame because it's my favorite pvm template to play.
Is there any way of decreasing the mob intensity without getting rid of retargetting, or at least following up on the idea where your pet can crossheal you so you at least have an iota of a chance?

We will be going over the AI and see if it needs adjusting, though it's one of those systems that probably wont change all that much, it will just be tweaked and some spells may be implemented to it. Like I think ninjitsu creatures should be throwing ninja stars and stuff. That will probably be added.

Yes, the team is currently looking into scaling each monster's difficulty in terms of casting intensity which should tone it down for numerous monsters. I'm not sure which thread I put it in, but there were also several tamer changes that will restructure the targeting and healing practices of tamers to make it a lot less harsh than it is right now, provided you take good care of your pet.Dollpartz wrote: Is there any way of decreasing the mob intensity without getting rid of retargetting, or at least following up on the idea where your pet can crossheal you so you at least have an iota of a chance?

TBH I really love this shard, everything about it I think is perfect except for AI targetting you instead of your pets every 5 seconds. I just find it wayyy too difficult to play a tamer now, maybe I just suck at a game I've been playing on and off for 11 years.
Is there any way you could get rid of the retargetting of pets to owners in the revamp, even for a short while and put a poll up on the forums to what players think and go from there? If the majority of people moan that it's made it too ez mode then stick it back on there.

Nope. It was decided that the tamer would be re-targeted. We can reduce it, but it won't go away entirely. Tamers shouldn't really be having too much problem then, as re-targeting has existed in the game in subtle ways before, such as paragons.Dollpartz wrote: Is there any way you could get rid of the retargetting of pets to owners in the revamp, even for a short while and put a poll up on the forums to what players think and go from there? Maybe the problem is that they should work on a resist suit THEN work luck into it, not the other way around. Perhaps on other servers taming was so blatantly easy it didnt matter if you were nakes as long as you had luck (with 1500 luck I STILL dont see a difference) it didnt matter. Been checkin out a shard with a buddy of mine that has a GREAT taming system. Everything else is broken as hell but it has GREAT taming. And sitting here playing a tamer with him, I miss valors AI.Dollpartz wrote:IDK about this trading business, but I wholeheartedly agree with Drucilia about AI ruining it for tamers.
