recipies, gems

I've been crafting like crazy trying to get recipies and rare gems.
Does anyone know where I can find out more about the recipies and which ones use which gems, and where those gems can be found?
I have looked on stratics and unless I missed it they really don't have much info on it.

Gems must be mined by a GM or higher miner. It takes a while to get a rare gem but they can be mined pretty much anywhere you can get ore.

The only exception to the rule is brilliant ambers (Lumberjacking) and white pearls (Fishing). You need GM in the skill to find those too. Might take awhile to find as well (Hence the "rare" part).

Recipes can be obtained numerous ways. Primarily, they are related to quests and craftsman satchels. AOV does not have the quest framework in game yet but you can sometimes obtain recipes through the BOD quests. Peerless bosses are also a good source for obtaining recipes.
