i dont have many at all and i would like to buy any i can and hopfully get some nice recipes they seem to be extremely rare but i spend alot of time questing

Recipes normally come from craftsman satchels. You can receive these by doing UOML quests. AOV currently doesn't have full quest framework to begin handing out recipes.

We have a few prototypes out at the moment for "kill" quests (Check the gate library) that you can try in the meantime (They do not reward recipes yet).

Normally how it works is the farther you go in a quest chain (A quest chain being 1 large quest with numerous objectives) the harder it gets and the better the prize you will receive. Somewhere around the middle or end of the quest, you'll receive a craftsman satchel with a recipe that reflects the difficulty of the task (Common recipe for easy quests, Rare recipe for hard quests).

You can take a look at the "tokuno" quest to kill winter reapers, ninjas and rune beetles to get an idea of how it'll work in the future.

If you're interested in getting recipes at the time being however, you can occasionally score some from bod quests or peerless bosses.
