Well I finally got my new PC working...... Its taken me over a week to discover that my Powerbridge has gone up the proverbial.
It was working on my previous PC.
So for the time being I'm using a wireless connection, so no gloating if you kill me, my ping is in the region of 225-250 as opposed to the 90-110 I get with a wired connection.
TriX

You shouldn't have such a big difference between wired and wireless ping. There's something messed up with your wireless connection.

The difference is the wireless response times. Wireless response is never as fast as wired. Wireless also is only 99% packet retreival, even on the best systems.
If you do a trace rt with wireless you tend to get a computer to router ping of 10-25ms where as wired is more often than not, simply 1ms.
I'll live with it until I get a new network system.
And I my patch kinda screwed up, so now I'm starting from scratch. BAHHHHHH

I always keep a backup of my client.
In fact if you get on the gnutella or edonkey network you may get lucky and find it. I have it shared out.

UO actually works stand alone, so you just copy over the folder. You can move it to a network drive or burn it to CD. I tend to just zip the whole thing up minus the desktop folder (saves the user account info in there).
