We officially broke the $1,000 mark in donations! That is about 6 months cost paid, so its a nice chunk! We've been up for roughly 1.5 years, so 6 months out of that is paid by donations.

You know who you are, and thank you!

Not to sounds greedy or by any means needy. But a nice list of things to donate for would probably help the money come in. It's always nice to donate to show your support to a server, and it's also nice to get a little thank you in return like a few useful items =].

We have a list of new items we will be putting in one of these days. We're just waiting for the list to get large enough.

There's also a fine line between adding items people are willing to donate for, but that are also unique, but also don't give any kind of advantage. So its very tricky to think of such items.

the best thing by far is the donation forge. Wow are those things nice to have.

perhaps a deed that raises a pets stats/resists to max. Might be tough to code since each pet is different, so maybe only offer them for certain pets. The AW ones would probably be big sellers.

120 mining ps.

A deed thar makes an aw only 3 slots .

Increased storage, for houses and bank boxes.

Just a few ideas I had on the subject.

- Engraving tools are actually planned crafting bod rewards and veteran rewards.

- Seedboxes would be a nice addition too but would involve some coding.

- Pet powerscrolls would give too much advantage and would be unpredictable in boosting already powerful pets.

- Mining ps's were pretty much phased out cause of the use of the mining bonus gloves to bring percents over 100.

- Deeds to increase existing pets is not only unpredictable, but makes things confusing to others.

- Storage is not a bad idea in certain situations (Example: Pets with higher storage capacities), but OSI has a bad habit of increasing storage (They did so during ML) so chances are somebody would end up getting screwed over by this.

That's a controversial one. Although it's a nice idea, like weapons/armor, it's one of those things that's subject to a lot of thorough analyzing. For example, the pet would have to be something more for looks than abilities as to not give unfair advantages. Also, if the pet became a problem and had to be modified, it's a lot more difficult to fix. There's also the "What if my pet becomes unbonded and I lose it? Will I get another one?" scenario.

The only pet I would think would be possible is a type of donation mount (Almost similar to ethereals) but they could die of course. The mounts could possibly have a special ability that they can perform (Similar to ki-rin, unicorn, fire steeds etc). The benefits wouldn't be "OMG uber" of course, but might be useful (Perhaps your mount will neutralize poison inflicted on you once per hour for example). These would be rideable by anyone.

Of course, this is something red would have to approve and all scenarios would have to be thoroughly thought out.

Sounds like a bad idea...

I would prefer a donation Dark Father. The supreme model if available.

We had the idea of having polymorphing idols that turned you into those creatures so that's almost the same idea.

How about Jewlery Boxes, I heard that EA was considering such a thing. Baiscally all the Jewlery you get takes up alot of space on houses. Perhaps some way of combining them into a book of some short

That would be difficult to do because of all the different stats which make jewelry unique. Unless we were to store them into a serialized array but that might lower server performance. It's a nice idea though.

I was listening to uo radio and they were having one of those meetings at dave and busters. Someone mentioned about a Jewlery box idea a and they made the comment that this is being in the works. I would think that it would be similar to a hard drive. Since everything is spread out that it would take the server longer to find it but if you had the jewlery into a smaller area that the computer would read it much faster. Such is why you defrag your computer. Im not sure if this would work under the same lines but would think it would help the server rather than slowing it down.

The way I'd probably do it is make it act as a container but rather then getting a drag/drop enabled gump you'd get some kind of specialized gump.
