What is the purpose of the lightsaber swords in this game?

I have some and they have the most awful mods ever. Am i able to add mods to it or what.

They don't really serve a purpose, they're just there. They make sounds when you equip them, thats about it.

they used to be 100ssi, but that changed when the new swing speed formulas were put in

They are fun for playing around with Guildies XD I think JLA had a blast a few months ago when I did an event involving them and storm trooper xbows. Pretty much about 10 people equipped Lightsabers and jedi robes or storm trooper gear and the storm trooper bow and all attacked me while I didnt heal (except through leeching). Lasted about 5 mins or so and I think everyone had a pretty fun time with it because it was rather silly.

Speaking of which in a few weeks Ill need to hold some more player run events. XD
