Just a heads up, I just happened to go there, being bored and running around and saw that the owner was not logged so I [killed them so they don't go wild. You're lucky.

Aren't they supposed to auto-stable when the owner logs out?

Yeah they should, but not if the server crashes or they get disconnected from network issues, only if they actually X out of UO.
