just some suggestions

But i think it would be nice to have some nice crafting items under the donation area.

stuff like +25 bonus smithing/tailoring/lumberjacking/mining, ect.

also,

mebbe toss in some resource bags.

the possiblilty of a "donation recipe book" would be nice. A book for crafters to keep recipies in.

and lastly,

even tho i have no idea what you would use, but you have donation items for as much as 30 bux. add some that are really pimped out and have a 50 or 100 dollar value.

Well donations are really made to give to someone, what your suggestion is buying items for the game. Not everyone can spend r/l cash for a a game but can sometimes donate to a cause. Basically all this would prove is you dont have to work at anything but if you pay cash you can get what ever you want on this server. Although im all for money doing the talking, I think that if you wanna donate thats great but dont always expect a freeby because of it.

Yeah exactly, and this is why some items such as decor are expensive. It's strictly a status of being a donator, thats all the items are. We're not actually selling anything (that would be illegal and against EA's ToS) we're just giving it as a thank you for donating.

Resources are not really something we want to be posting up there for donation as it takes away from resource skills and it's hard to put on a price on resources in changing markets.

The skill items are an "okay" idea but not really the best bet for donation. The recipe book's an alright idea provided we can find the time to code that in.

We do have more ideas for donation items and your suggestions are great and help us think of more unique items to add. The pimped out items are a good bet too but we'll need to think of something that's worth of the title "pimped out"

Well if I had a subscription for 150/mo technically the person would be paying off the server and own it, so they could become shard owner.

But that wont happen. :P

Although im all for money doing the talking, I think that if you wanna donate thats great but dont always expect a freebee because of it.
Just to clarify, i wanst suggesting "buying" anything. And just because someone gets a"reward" for helping to pay for expenses does never imply that they dont work very hard in the game to get what they have or to be where they are in the community. Nothing in this world is free. I was making the suggestions i listed as a suggestion and because i was asked too by this shards owner/operator. And getting a little something on the flip side just makes a charitable donation a little sweeter on both sides of the transaction.

On a further note, And not trying to be a cocky sob either, I too own and operate my own servers. And although its very satisfying to see people enjoy your hobby as much as you enjoy providing it, sometimes, its still very hard to justify the cost every single month, especially when you have your own rl bills to pay.

At the same time, I wouldn't want to take away from the AOAS and tot pigments for those who have earned them. They might want to sell or trade their pigments to other people.

Can't add pure pure white because it's reserved for the CTF system.

how about for $500 you get a hat that says "I won UO". Red could have them made up and send you one IRL too, if you pay the shipping and handling.

lol actually I thought of doing the cafepress thing. Just not sure how it works, and if it would hit any legal issues by using UO related graphics and such. I can already picture pentagram cup holders that say AoV and stuff like that.

I can see myself buying that stuff. For any law students or law majors around, think that would be illegal?

i, for one, think we shouldn't have the gold pieces for sale, or they should be double the price at least.

The kill book is an interesting idea. If we can pull it off that would be a nice item.

would it be retroactive? I would hate to not get credit for my previous kills, with Reco and Beez being some of the most precious ones.
