shard crashed?

I just got disconnected at the game, everything just froze.
Now i cant connect back in, i just keep getting the: 'Couldn't connect to ultima online. Please try again in few moment'

Everything else related to internet is working just fine.

So am i only one who cant connect?

Cause some strange reason i froze straigh after i pressed accept

ok I just got up. I don't know WTF happened and I had stuff to do today, but I'll try to debug it. It's up now but it's a time bomb until I find what caused it.

I want to stop adding stuff for maybe a month or so, since that's what happens, with new stuff, comes possibility of crash bugs and such. It does not really take much to crash RunUO.

Yeah whatever the last save was. I hate how when runuo crashes it just dumps everything and does not even restart properly. That's another thing to fix later...

ok I'm in the middle of coding something here but I'll get to this after. The problem with this crash is that the server just shuts off, rather then generate logs, so there is no way to actually remotely possibly debug this. I'll set saves to every 5 minutes and write a program that auto starts the shard, but I've been so busy and all this stuff is just stacking, so I can't promise when.

There is also the possibility that there is some kind of backdoor in RunUO that someone is exploiting. Thing is, this is not happening in the test environment.

Ok turns out this is a very serious issue... something with .net framework crashing. This is why you DON'T go M$. :/ I'll reboot the whole machine and cross your fingers.

I'm pretty sure it was something I was doing. My hunch is it's related to Malkilus' recent enhancement. He may be trying to spawn a Reaper in a spot that has a wall or tree.

Doubt it, its way more serious. Most script crashes would do an actual runuo crash where it makes a log, but this is a .net crash and it does F all in terms of log. I don't know why the hell this just randomly started but it sucks. With the instability of this server, we can just hope I never have to leave for an extended period of time or the server won't stay up long. I have to constantly babysit this. I set the saves to every 5 minutes until I can find the time to try and figure something out but I'm having other issues with the donation system right now.

Ok, you *MUST* believe me. This is the third time I have done EXACTLY the same thing and made the shard crash. I am absolutely positive it is something with Malkilus' enhancement. If you don't believe me, I can reproduce it *EVERY* time.

I'll play around with that, but normally script related crashes would cause an actual runuo crash. This type is different, it's a .net crash and it just fucking shuts off Runuo with no warning or log. (I don't consider the windows event log an actual log, it says shit all)

For now I just have to stop sleeping and babysit this thing 24/7 until I can write a program that starts it automatically. And saves will have to stay at 5 min intervals, and guess there won't be any afk macrowing since you get DCed every hour or so :/ This really sucks. Tomorrow I'll get the data center to do a clean install of the server see if it helps fix the issue, but clean installs do come with a price tag...
