Haha I'll be pulling off a Demise on that expansion I think.

If they do 2D client related updates such as add gargoyles or new creatures I *may* code that in, but I wont guarantee anything.

Also there are no plans to support UOKR on this shard. An update done to 2D client a while back broke our possible packet fix for UOKR and it has not been a priority to fix it.

Also UOKR does not support static text, only clilocs. So stuff like all the custom artys would show up all messed up.

Chances of AOV getting stygian abyss is very slim. I doubt they will make 2d-equivalent graphics now that they have their UOKR clients out. AOV also does not support UOKR clients, therefore we don't have all the functionality to pull it off.

Possibly put in a few of the new things mind you or make gargoyles look like pinkish elves.

What I'd really be excited about though is that new huge dungeon, if they do make it for 2D. I'd most likely do something with that dungeon. But thats an after ML thing, I wont touch anything SA before ML is completed and all the other major systems are done.

If it is ever released, they're going to pull another Ilshenar (3rd Dawn), where it was the "3D Client" only for like the first .. yearish.

Come on, I bet you guys could figure out a way to make KR work on AOV. There are freeshards running it.

if you want to do assembly level reverse engineering sure, but I have better things to do. :P Not saying I'll never support it, but at this point I have no plans to. The packets are too different, we'd have to rewrite the whole packet handler, and even if we got it to work all the custom stuff would not work. (Basically, any text thats not a cliloc would error out)

I would NOT get excited at ALL about KR my friend.

There was an ACTUAL vote on every server on uo, more of a survey questonaire.

The question was....

Why is everyone still playing 2D over KR?

Buffs lasted 4x longer for answering it for the day.

Showing that uo FUCKED up lol

Cause they want to force people into using UO:KR so that they can lure more players to subscribe so that they can make money. Same idea why UO:SE and UO:ML exist. They created the treasures of tokuno event to lure people in.

The current 3D client is more 3D than KR. KR seems more WoW-ish.

Exactlly.

EA Games tried to buy UO to "farm" the people of their irl money.

Origin was so nieve, they seriouslly thought the game wasnt going to make it and gave it all away to a worthless fucking market.

EA is only good for sports games.

James Bond: Nightfire was EA, and that wasn't TOO bad of a game. No where near a fuckin' Halo, but still decent.

Call of Duty Series>Halo Series, for me. But, according to money, it's the reverse.
