I have killed necromancers who oathed me on numerous occasions without casting remove curse. The trick is to disarm the necromancer and use a fast weapon that does little damage (Such as a butcher knife). The necromancer will be unable to cast if you can keep them fizzling (Necromancers who rely on spirit speak will also be in trouble) and they cannot attack you when they are disarmed. Second the oath wears off, use a weapon that will dot spell them (Bleed and nox works nicely, but on necromancers, bleed is usually efficient). This is merely a suggestion as necromancers are often tempted to link blood oaths.dprantl wrote:Blood oath is a very unique and extremely hated spell. If you don't have chivalry, your only option is to run away. You can be the best non-chiv player in the world (generally the better the player the higher the dmg output), but you have no other option if your target has more HP than you.
I think OSI messed this one up. It is kinda nice in concept, but doing 1:1 dmg IMO is not right. It should reflect less damage to the attacker than he is inflicting, or at least apply the reflected damage against the attacker's resists. Or make it cancellable by a mage spell, instead of just templates with chiv. I'm not suggesting it be changed mind you, just my opinion.
I always found that one stupid. 2 handed you can't chug a potion? I'm sure you can hold a 2 handed wep in one hand and chug (Think of a bow or a sword. You may USE both hands on the weapon, but if you think about it logically, you can still hold it with 1). Personally, I don't think it serves any purpose over 1 handed weapons. Potion chugging already has a delay in it and you can use razor to chug pots anyways (buggy but still).Red Squirrel wrote:Yeah I would know that. That or if you're a mage just MA/fireball spam. Wether the necro uses only SS or healing, or magery, they'll be screwed. (bandages will slip, and SS/heal will fizzle) Potions may work, but even that, it won't be enough and if they use a two handed wep can't chug.
The developers thoguht the same thing. Then they made the mod "Balanced".Bartok wrote:I always found that one stupid. 2 handed you can't chug a potion?
