Tips.

I find it hard as a colelge kid who commutes to have barely enough money to drink. Even worse, shuffleboard requires being in a bar to play. So I bought about 3 drinks and this women has the balls to say that "she will serve me as soon as I tip her." I basically told her that she had NO right to talk about that in public.

Have 2 drinks and Tip her. If you've never had to live off tips you prolly don't understand, but it really is incredably rude to not tip unless the server is seriously fucking shit up.

Indigo, always tip good on the first drink unless you don't want the server to come back. Usually a tip that is equal to the drink price is good enough, unless you are drinking $1 drafts. You don't have to tip EVERY drink, just make sure the first tip is good. It works really well if you have an ugly, slutty waitress. She brings you all the drinks you want,(or need) and maybe you get some take-out at the end of the night.

Agreed. Servers usually make about half the minimum wage, so tips pay for their bills. Always tip nice. As Doc said, sometimes you get some perks. I've gotten plenty of free drinks by tipping well. Of course, I'm broke now. But it was worth it.

I always tip a percentage off every drink. Normally just toss down some change after every drink. After I've had about 5 the tip tends to get larger though, still can't figure out why.

Oh I agree, I SHOULD tip. But if I am getting a beer I dont think I should have to. Anytime I get a mixed lends itself to a 50% chance of tipping. Fact is that I tip for good service. If she is(and was at the time) spending time with her friends and not on me, then I feel a tip would send the wrong message.

Oh, and I did do delivery. I had to spend gas money and the tips barely covered that. She makes about 6 bucks a hour without tips. Which is FAR higher than the min wage.

Like I said, if the server is fucking shit up don't tip. It's just that for the most part no server SAYS something to a customer like that unless its habitual that they dont tip OR the server is very rude. If its situation A then you suck, if its situation B, then she blows and deserved it. Not being there and not know you IRL I wouldnt be able to make a call on it either one way or the other but there ya go theres both

And the best way to not have to tip every drink is to open a tab. That way you can pay all at once and tip then too. (Most bars that do a running tab split the tips on them between the servers/bartenders)

there were some bars here in GR that were horrible at serving anyone except hot chicks, no matter what you tipped. Back in college I always had a hot underage gf, and they would get served before I did.

Wow thats got to suck... minimum wage here is 7.15 and think they actually raised that a while back so it might be higher now.
