Seems quite a few people don't like the fact you cannot use the special shots on this weapon. The reason for this is the 100% hit lightning chance on it. If you always hit with lightning and had special shots, if would be too much on that one weapon. So here's what I propose:

1) Weapon with 100% hit lightning but NO special shots
2) Weapon with 50% hit lightning AND special shots

I'll leave a poll for about a week.

What special shots? Would it have the standard double-bladed staff ones (double strike and infectious strike)? And it will stay one-handed?

two handed weapon, same specials as double staff (Infection + double strike).

perhaps give it another max intensity mod if lightning is taken down to 50. Right now with no mods it is useless, at least when it was 1 handed you could put it into a suit.

Can't you put it back to one-handed? No mage would use it since it's two-handed, it's just not worth giving up the shield.

It's sort of a client side issue, the layering gets messed up. Since that itemid is meant to be a 2 handed wep.

If it only has 50 Lightning, UBWS and SC-0... thats kinda weak. 50HLD would be really nice, or maybe put 25 Hit Fireball or MA. Maybe 15DCI, that would be really nice too.

I think just to compensate for being two-handed, it should have at least 15 DCI and 15 HCI.

HCI is very easy to max out, the DCI is harder to get to 45.

nah if its a DCI wep then that means I'd see mostly mages using it so why not like doc has it only keep the 100 HL and no specials. The Dci really compenstates best for not having a shield since its not 1 hand anymore. I'd like to see it stay without specials and keep the 100 hit spell.

I don't want to make it too ubber, its more of a "rare" then "ubber" type. Like for example look at some of the weps that only spawn once per month, they're not that ubber, but still nice to have for the fact of their rarity. So this arty is basically same idea but can be ubber even with just the 50 hit lightning. A ninja could use focus attack and make that 100 hit lightning, for example.

the stats I listed were just 5x100 intensity. Just like something that could spawn as monster loot or from a runic hammer. Not that people would burn a runic on double bladed staffs.... And remember that it is 2 handed.
