Dark Jedi and AI

Post by dprantl »

I was just wondering whether mobs have the same limitations on spamming AI and other special shots as players. The reason I ask is that I had a Dark Jedi spam AI on me 4 times in a row at the capped swing speed. It was like *ching*, *ching*, *ching*, *ching* one after another. It's a good thing I have 130HP, but I had to run away FAST.

They do have the same limit as far as I know but I'd have to double check, could be the special shot is being called at wrong spot and it only invalidates after it's hit. 4 times that fast sounds way too often though, I'll have to check the probability code.

yea, the two things i would really like to see go are:
-monsters spamming ai/bleed/mortal back to back with no special timer.
-monsters with necromancy doing bloodoath. Giving them necro makes them already extremely chalenging, bloodoath just makes pvm stupid when you instantly die because you spend months perfecting a suit to dish out nice damage.

The special timer is probably a good idea between special shot use. I had sabrix AI me several times in a row and it would have been nice to have a small delay between that AI.

For blood oath, there's always remove curse or resist spells to help counter its effects. Seems whenever I fight master mikael, he always seems to know when I've hit perfection before casting that spell.

Hey, what about that blood oath reduction that I posted that went on OSI? I even included the formula :?

I'll have to ponder on adding that. Blood oath on this shard does have a cooldown, so that kind of componsates for the resist spells thing, though I'll have to test and see if its viable to add that. Just don't want to make BO useless in pvp either. I may add the formula but just curve it a bit, not sure.

As for pvm, it can be tricky but just be sure you don't do damage higher then what you have in hp.
